One Life Holistic Health, LLC offers a variety of different yoga classes and workshops for overall well-being. Yoga is a wonderful way to foster a healthy mind/body connection. Yoga also creates somatic movement to assist in the physical release of emotions stored in the body.
All yoga classes and workshops are trauma-informed. All instructors at One Life Holistic Health, LLC are aware of the effects yoga has on trauma and trauma has on yoga. All instructors are aware of personal space, ask consent before any physical adjustment or touch, and hold space to allow deep healing. Trauma-informed yoga connects students with their inner resource to help build resilience, work through discomfort, separate their feelings, and understand experiences better.
One core class is Integrative Restoration Yoga Nidra (iRest). Not only is this a class open to the public, but also a foundational modality in the Holistic Protocol utilized in Psychotherapy at One Life Holistic Health, LLC.

Based on current studies with iRest in the military, the Defense Centers of Excellence has approved iRest as a Complementary and Alternative Medicine warranting continuing research for its use in the treatment of PTSD. In addition, the U.S. Army Surgeon General has listed Yoga Nidra (based on research with iRest) as a Tier 1 approach for addressing Pain Management in Military Care. iRest has been shown to be effective in scientific trials for conditions including chronic pain, sleep problems, depression and anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).”
